Time to be still

With all our hurring, we need to set time to just stop and be still.

Psalm 46:10"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
In all our daily maddness we forget to be still.
We forget the Lord is always in control and waiting for us to stop and spend time with him.
He is waiting with his divine patience for us to come to him with all our troubles, trials, and triumps.
Matthew 11:28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

I hope this encourages you to take time today to stop and be still before the Lord.

Money saving cleaning tips

Since I am a stay at home mom, Our family has become very thirfty. Her are a few money saving cleaning tips:
Home made laundry soap ( saves TONS on money and works great!!!)
1/3 bar Fels Naptha or 2 bars Ivory soap
½ cup washing soda ( not baking soda )
½ cup borax powder
~You will also need a small bucket, about 2 gallon size~
Grate the soap and put it in a sauce pan. Add 6 cups water and heat it until the soap melts. Add the washing soda and the borax and stir until it is dissolved. Remove from heat. Pour 4 cups hot water into the bucket. Now add your soap mixture and stir. Now add 1 gallon plus 6 cups of water and stir. Let the soap sit for about 24 hours and it will gel. You use ½ cup per load.
The cost of making the above recipe of laundry soap was .71 cents. That was amazing to me! With this 2 gallon size recipe you will have enough to do 64 loads of laundry. That translates to about .01 cent a load.
Fabric softener
Add 1/2 cup whie vinegar to rinse cycle instrad of fabric softener
Generic vinegar is approx $.99 per bottle

HI this is our first blog. We are a christen family tyring to raise up Godly children. I am a stay at home mom and my husband works out of the home. We have three children, a 14 year old boy and twin 8 year old girls. This is my second year staying home.
Before we decided, with much prayer, for me to stay home, I had a great career. We have given up a lot of material things since I have been home . I think my kids are reaping the benefits of having me home.
